10/10/2026 — Finding Little London in Hong Kong
In the 19th century, Central formed the heart of the City of Victoria. Its street planning, architectural arrangement and urban form all carried, to varying degrees, traces of London.
Heritage conservation architect Sonie will lead participants in searching for these “Little London” clues hidden in Central’s street corners, building proportions, façades and urban layout.

11/10 — Finding Lisbon in Macau
If Hong Kong’s City of Victoria once carried traces of London, how much of Lisbon can still be found in Macau?
Led by Dr Lui Chak-keung, participants will explore Macau’s streets, squares and historic buildings, comparing its urban layout, architectural language and public spaces with those of Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, and discovering how the two cities have reflected one another across time.
-
11/10 — Little Days in Macau
Macau is not only about the Ruins of St Paul’s, churches and World Heritage sites.
Antique collector Jan will take participants through the city’s lesser-known lanes and neighbourhood corners, using old shops, street scenes, household objects, residential spaces and everyday artefacts to piece together the daily lives of Macau people across different periods.
-
17/10 — Ascending Tai Mo Shan
Climbing high at Chung Yeung is not only about hiking.
This journey begins with panoramic views over the Yuen Long Plain, followed by an introduction to the Shek Kong military area and its surrounding landscape, before visiting the remains of an almost forgotten farm.
From military geography to Hong Kong’s former dairy-farming history, the tour reveals another side of Tai Mo Shan beyond its familiar identity as Hong Kong’s highest peak.
-
24/10 — Where Was Thirty Houses?
"Thirty Houses" was once the name of a district, and also a place with a real history that was gradually overlaid by urban development.
This tour traces its historical significance, conservation story and local memories, including places that were renamed, redeveloped or erased from collective memory, before arriving at the actual location of Sap Kan itself.
-
31/10 — Whampoa Dockyard Sets Sail
Today, Whampoa is known for housing estates, shopping centres and its waterfront. Yet beneath this familiar urban landscape once stood one of Hong Kong’s most important dockyards.
Second Officer Victor, bringing along historic Whampoa Dockyard artefacts collected overseas, joins Hung Hom history specialist Uncle Bor in a treasure-hunt-style search for surviving traces of the dockyard — in streets, buildings, place names and other clues still embedded in the neighbourhood.
